"Friday holds a lot of importance for us, both religiously as well as nationally. On a religious level; Muslims dress up for Friday prayer, especially the men. We celebrate Friday like it's Eid and wear the best dress available, perhaps a Shalwar Kameez, in our closet. After getting done with the prayers, we give away some charity to the poor and needy. Throughout the day, we restrain from listening to music, watching movies, lying, etc. We spend more time in praying than on worldly activities. We have a hadith that conveys; on Friday there is a special hour, an hour during which whatever we supplicate for, is granted by Allah (SWT). We are asked to recite Surah Al-Kahf on the prestigious day to keep us blessed with Noor till the next Friday and on the Day of Judgement. There is a lot more to it but being brought up in a Muslim Pakistani family, you must have an idea and would definitely connect to it.

Nowadays all these things are kept aside, and Fridays are suddenly “BLACK”.

Why?

On the day after Thanksgiving, huge sales are offered to mark the beginning of Christmas. This day is what people call Black Friday, when retailers, brand outlets and manufacturers alike, offer large-scale promotional sales. It is celebrated in the western culture and brings about breakthrough sales, the kind that is not offered throughout the year.

This trend has been embraced by the Pakistani culture lately and now Fridays are associated with colors; Black Friday, White Friday, Blue Friday, and so on. Giving away your customers discounts is good, but associating Friday with colors? Helping the buyers save on their shopping list is good, but watching them fight with each other? Paklap.pk is not in favor of it.

Jumma is Mubarak, and Fridays are Happy. We should celebrate Fridays and spread smiles to each other. Thus, to make your Friday happier, like every year Paklap.pk will be launching Happy Friday Deals on all things tech on the day everyone celebrates mega discounts; the Happy Friday (as we like to call it).

We launch Happy Friday Deals every year, but this year it will be bigger and better, so mark your calendars. From 25 th to 28 th of November 2016, it is about to get crazy and memorable.
