HP Victus is a budget-friendly series of gaming laptops. If we were to compare the prices of this series to HP Omen, Victus has much lesser prices. This makes it apt not just for gaming enthusiasts but also for creators and designers.
About the company
HP is known for launching the best-in-class products every single time. The company does not need much of an introduction as the majority of us to know very well about them. HP laptops, desktops, workstations, Chromebooks, gaming PCs, printers, DeskJet, ink and cartridges, monitors, software, and other accessories, are all top-of-the-line.
We have under discussion an affordable line of gaming laptops by the company right now, the HP Victus. Let’s get into what it has to offer.
Easy on pockets, heavy on specs
It packs a great deal of power in its sleek chassis. Unlike the older gaming PCs that used to have a bulky build and a heavy body, the recent launches are more portable and slimmer. This one right here is smartly designed to include a powerful Intel® Core or AMD Ryzen™ processor, NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ graphics, high-resolution, responsive display, and an upgraded cooling solution, all in a svelte chassis. The space-saving CPU and GPU have a role to play in maintaining the sleek and slender Victus design.
Powered by Intel® or AMD Ryzen™
To keep up with the demanding games and apps, these lineups have Intel® Core or AMD Ryzen™ processors. Both provide a seamless performance even with the most demanding AAA titles, 4K video rendering, and 3D and 4D modeling.
The Intel® variants will have up to a 12th Gen Core i7 processor. Other Intel® variants that you will commonly find in this series include 12th Gen Core i5, 11th Generation Core i5, Core i7, and Core i9 processors.
Whereas the AMD variants will have up to an AMD Ryzen™ 7 CPU. For the AMD variants, you will commonly find AMD Ryzen™ 5, Ryzen™ 7, and Ryzen™ 9 processors.
Immersive Visuals with Superfast and Ray-Traced Graphics
Modern-day gaming has modern-day needs and an RTX-enabled GPU fulfills the need of the day. The popular AAA titles also have characters and ambiance that are designed using AI. NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 3000 series graphics cards keep up with that. Built on NVIDIA’s 2nd Generation Ampere architecture, these cards use Ray Tracing technology for a more immersive experience. They also have state-of-the-art AI such as NVIDIA DLSS 2.0.
The most commonly found graphics card in HP Victus include NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, and 3050 Ti variants. It is said that the successors in the line will include 3060, 3070, and 3080 too.
Responsive Display
HP Victus comes in two display sizes, 15.6” and 16.1”, thus being given the name HP Victus 15 and HP Victus 16, respectively. Victus 16 will have a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz, on a QHD display panel. Victus 15 will have a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, on an FHD display panel. Both are responsive enough to assure that you do not miss anything during crucial in-game moments. There are customizable variants with brighter LEDs in both sizes. The brightness rating of these display panels goes from 250 to 300 NITS at max.
All the display options are anti-glare, thus reducing reflection and glare to a minimum. The screens fit into a micro-edge design to deliver a larger screen-to-body ratio. This ensures a more immersive visual experience.
Customizable RAM
Keeping the needs of gamers and creators in mind, it has a customizable RAM configuration. There are two RAM slots and both are user-accessible. These models come with up to 16 GB of memory in the form of two 8 GB RAMs. This can be upgraded as per the user’s needs. Upgrading the RAM increases the speed and efficiency of the system. In simpler words, more the RAM, the better the performance.
HP Victus Build and Design
It has a sharp yet subtle build and design and it packs everything in a sleek chassis. It comes in three different colors – Mica Silver, Performance Blue, and Ceramic White. The overall weight starts from 5 pounds and goes up. It has sharp angles and a huge V on top of the lid to compliment your gaming style. This V stands for Victus and it speaks volumes for itself. The dark-colored chassis along with the mirrored V makes the machine look like a weapon that is designed to kill.
There are 15- and 16-inch display options, both of which come with a full-size backlit keyboard. It is clicky, has good feedback and there is a separate number pad with cursor keys. The display is large, giving you plenty of room to play, create and do so much more. Moreover, there are a good number of ports to keep you connected.
Upgraded Cooling
It has a new and upgraded cooling system that ensures sufficient ventilation. There are two built-in fans that speed up during high-performance gameplay.
Omen Gaming Hub
This is a one-stop solution for gamers to elevate their gameplay. Omen Gaming Hub gives you rewards for playing. It also puts the user in control of their laptops’ performance, fan speeds, lighting, and so much more. You can choose from the different performance modes to match your requirements. To keep a check on the temperature, you can control the main components’ power consumption and fan speeds. In addition, it lets you control the network speed too.
Bang & Olufsen Audio
The B&O speakers deliver the sweet sound of victory. Its sound quality is really good, providing an immersive and immaculate experience for enthusiasts.
