11th Gen Laptop | 11th Generation Laptops in Pakistan
Intel has announced the launch of its first 11th Gen Tiger Lake processors for laptops. Together with the Core i7 processor, these laptops will feature Intel Iris Xe graphics, industry-leading AI performance, Wi-Fi 6, Thunderbolt 4 support, better battery, and performance. Xe graphics, Wi-Fi 6, and PCIe 4 Thunderbolt support are some features that we have been listening to, on and off, in the last few years. These features are now finally here in the form of a processor chip. These chips are ready to make way into the computers and can be experienced with better performance and speed than all its predecessors.
The Tiger Lake chip comes with 4 cores and 8 threads, targeting the thinnest laptops that take around 12 to 28 W of power to operate. Its Single Core Turbo Frequency will be 4.8 GHz at max, All Core Turbo Frequency will be 4.3 GHz at max and the Base Clock Speed will be 3 GHz. This gives us a much better idea of how these Tiger Lake chips will perform in different workloads. Please keep in mind that real people who used laptops incorporated with Tiger Lake processors record these speeds and frequencies. They compared the graphics and performance by using different applications and playing a variety of games on it.
Since the 11th Generation chips are targeted towards the thinner and lighter system, they are designed to meet out high frequencies with little wattage and are prepared to work with smaller batteries. These chips are also prepared to generate as less heat as possible. All this is done, keeping in mind the tighter confines and the smaller body of the upcoming laptops.
When Intel 11th Gen Tiger Lake chips were put to test, they needed some changes to be able to do what Intel claims, i.e. deliver high performance in the real-world. To cater to this, the tech giant introduced a new mobile platform concept, the Intel Evo.
Let us dive a bit deeper into what exactly Evo is and how it will help will the performance of the processor in the real world. Intel Evo platform introduces a new set of features and Key Experience Indicators (KEIs) that will help consumers pick out the best laptops to suit their needs. Evo is meant to push the manufacturers to do better with their systems and make them more performance-driven.
Yes, Intel Evo is mostly focused on the Core 11th Generation processor and Intel Iris Xe graphics, but it goes beyond that. It is meant to ensure high performance at all times by imposing and achieving the KEI targets that are important for the users. Evo platform KEIs are mentioned below;
- Fast Wake: from sleep in under 1 second
- Fast Charge: 4-hour charge in less than 30 minutes
- Maintaining responsiveness on battery power
- The battery life of 9+ hours
- Ensure best internet connectivity thanks to Wi-Fi 6
- Work in collaboration with Intel Iris Xe GPU to deliver premium display on screens of 12 to 15-inches, and up-to-date audio and webcam capabilities.
11th Gen laptops in Pakistan are prepared to work smoothly with extreme workloads. As a result of which these brand new systems will give you 20% better CPU performance. This “20% better CPU performance” is, by the way, a claim by Intel in one of their launching events of 11th Generation laptops in Pakistan. They have also claimed 2X better graphics performance and 5X better AI performance than its predecessors.
To take graphics and memory up a notch, you can add a graphics card and more memory to your 11 Gen laptop. It is always smart to leave some room for added memory and better graphics, for those of you who like it that way.
Many of the companies have already announced their 11th Gen laptop launches for the year 2020 and 2021. Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, and HP are on the list, while the rest will soon announce theirs.
