Here are some examples of how technology has evolved throughout the years :

COMPUTERS :

The voice of the clunky keyboard with joysticks and other essentials of that time and the frightening 64 Kb of Ram, The computers of the 1980’s do look like something close to a nightmare. In our fast forward life now, if we sit and think than those computers of that era seem nothing but a bug burden with 1000 negative aspects that we have overcome with the years.

Today, we have these sleek, fashionable, and supersonic speed machines that do not just contain power but are portable too.  They are easy to carry and almost contain no space. Eg; the MacBook air is so thin and light weighted that you would carry it wherever without feeling any baggage in your backpack. From the retina display to the Touch ID and from 10 hour Battery life to 3.8GHz of Turbo Boost processing, everything is super easy and fascinating that it’s not a surprise that we so rely on these modern technologies to run our entire livelihoods from.

THE SMARTPHONE

Back in history, mobile phones were more like a two-way radio that only had the capability to make people communicate with each other on calls and nothing else. As human minds and technology evolved, Motorola invented its first handheld mobile phone and smartphone technology started to evolve.

Today, smartphones are way smarter as the name suggests and are way easier to deal with. It’s more like a PC in your pocket and has our whole life essentials in it. From ordering online to do your daily task and from collecting information to video chatting from miles apart, this smart device has all these qualities in it and has made our daily life the easiest. Nobody now can think of living without their phones as it has solutions to almost all their problems and something far away is now just a tap away.

THE TABLET

In the ’80s people used to use notebooks to note their plans, write important numbers, or to plan their special occasions and also many important details.

Now, we all have tablets as a portable replacement to notebooks that have some latest features which do not only help us plan everything systematically but also helps us do more stuff than we could have ever done on our regular notebooks. This light-weighted device can help you read books, store contacts and also helps you surf the internet on a bigger screen than a smartphone but also much more reliable and handy than a notebook. They’re replacing PCs as they’re more compact and give you access to everything you require within seconds.

THE CAMERA

The very first camera was invented in the ’80s and was called the Kodiak. It took 100 exposure rolls of films and after the pictures, you would need to send the camera back to the Kodiak factory to get your pictures developed and printed.

Today, the possibilities for getting photos are endless. We have a portable phone and tablets that do not only capture beautiful photos but can also give you access to those captures virtually and they can also be emailed to others. The cameras today have Wi-fi capabilities that help you capture and send an image right away. You can shoot videos and take pictures that too in a big amount depending upon the size of the media card. It’s handy and it can adjust the filters and helps you take pictures accordingly.

TV :

We’re no longer held captive to the prime schedules of our favorite tv shows and neither do we have to see a screen that looks nothing more than an old box.

Today, we have smart tv’s that give us an opportunity to connect to them with our wi-fi and watch anything we want on the big screens. We can even record our favorite shows in advance and we can also watch anything and everything we want as per our wish ( mute, pause, and rewind whenever we want ). On websites like Netflix, we can binge-watch the whole season as per our wish.

THE WORLDWIDE WEB :

Till the ’90s, we didn’t have pleasing websites. Websites were just plain basic text with almost no features and just normal basic font to direct you to head to the next page. It took a long time to load pages and they weren’t really easy to use.

Now, there are more than 1.94 billion websites in the world. The internet is that one place where people tend to look for their everyday needs, whether it’s paying a bill or completing an assignment. Google is everybody’s going to place for every requirement.

SOCIAL NETWORKS :

In the 90's the social media looked entirely different from what it looks now. People used to meet in person and there were letters sent if anybody used to live really far away. Bills were paid only when you used to go outside your house and shop? Ohh, nobody thought it would become that easy. It’s almost insane and unrecognizable.

Now, IT’S EASY. Yes, it is. Catching up with friends on social media and seeing them from miles apart has become our go-to thing. Capturing each and every moment and having an update of the entire globe wouldn’t look this easy if technology wouldn’t have evolved. You can easily make your business grow and create a platform for yourself in any field. It has made our personal and professional life trouble-free and less complicated.

FITNESS TRACKERS

Not before the 20th century, anybody thought about tracking how many steps they were taking generally throughout the day, and fitness was not referred to after you came out the walls of the gym.

Today we have fitness trackers to track our daily steps and to monitor our heart rate.  This helps in the check-in balance of our diet and also our heart rate while living a healthy lifestyle.

TRANSPORTATION :

Back then we had little buggies, ships, and those covered wagons. They were inconvenient and extremely uncomfortable and took so many days.

Now, the modes of transportation we have are examples of luxury and glamour. First-class planes, big cruises, and luxury cars, they’re all about safety, speed, and comfort.

These were only some examples of how technology had made a huge impact on each one of our lives and how it’s impossible now to even think of giving anything up.
