Paklap.pk is happy to announce that Sony will have a technical showcase of the latest version of Sony PlayStation 4.5 or 4k in the next month. Those who are eagerly awaiting the new model of the Sony PlayStation might be surprised to know that on September 7th Sony will release the technical details of the newest version of PlayStation, which is before the Nintendo’s new launch.

The exact date is not announced as yet, to when it will be accessible for customers to buy in the market. Sony PS4.5 will be different from the older version, as PS4.5 will offer a full 4K output as compared to 1080p in previous versions along with the increased graphical power, better gaming view and resolution with better performance. It is also assumed that the upgraded internals of the mid-generation upgrade will negate the need for a secondary box to power the PlayStation VR headset, a requirement for current PS4 owners. The PlayStation NEO (or PS4.5) is a pretty unique beast.

According to the reports, Sony is also upgrading VR headset because there is a need to improve the power of the VR to be well-matched with the PS 4.5 (WHOA!). The Sony PlayStation 4.5 will be 4K supportive. Although current PlayStation 4 can also handle 4K, but the performance that it gives along with 4K is not as satisfying as PS4.5 is meant to be.

According to Giant Bomb, NEO will have a higher clock speed than the original PS4 with an improved GPU, and higher bandwidth for the memory. It is also said that NEO will have eight Jaguar CPU centers running at 2.1GHz instead of the 1.6GHz in the PS4. PS 4.5 will have an improved AMD GCN with 36 CUs rather than 18 CUs that were in the PS 4 (WHOA x2). These CUs will be running at the higher rate of 911MHz contrary to the 800MHz in the current Playstation. The GDDR5 memory which is 8GB will have a processing speed of 218GB/s instead of 176GB/s. The hard drive of NEO 4.5 is also different from PS4, but it's not yet clear whether it will be higher in capacity or have a faster connection speed.

It is speculating that PS4.5 Neo will carry a price tag of $399 because the company is changing the present PS4 solace holders to upgrading to the new platform.
