Since Apple launched Siri, it has held its place as the best Intelligent Personal Assistant in the world. Constant upgrades by Apple has been adding to the features and functions of Siri. But the latest update by Apple is big. A recent preview by Apple showcased Siri’s new feature which will disparage the notion that Siri is solely a voice assistant, and nothing more than that.

Siri Kit:

Previously Siri was supposed to build an extension in order to communicate with the apps. iOS 10 offers a toolkit known as Siri Kit which will create the extension between the apps and Siri, and will be the source from where Siri will extract the information to carry out the commands.

The New Feature:

The new feature added in Siri is very handy and a time-saving one. Siri could look anything for you, and carry out any command with the apps that are integrated. As in, if you are struggling to find a picture and it is taking very much time, just ask Siri to look for this picture in this app. Like, say “Find Taylor Swift pictures on Pikazo” and it will find you what you asked for. Photo searching is very easy with Siri’s new feature. Apps like LookLive, Pikazo, Vogue Runway and Pinterest are the ones which are supported by this feature.

Same goes for messaging and stuff. However, & Paklap.pk suggests you to be a little careful in order to avoid sending a message to the wrong address. Specify the name of the app which is to be used, the phone number and the message that is to be sent. For instance, say “Send a Whatsapp message to Kristina that says pick up the kids from school at 2 PM”, and your message will be sent as directed.

Surprisingly Siri can now carry out payment transactions too via apps such as Monzo and Square Cash. Saying “Send $100 to Adam through Square Cash” will send $100 to Adam via Square Cash app after going through the security inputs required by the app. Same procedure for the audio calling apps like Spark, and ride booking apps like Didi Chuxing and Uber.

Reports claim that following apps have been successfully integrated:

WhatsApp, Uber, Slack, WeChat, EyeEm, Pinterest, Lyft, Runtastic, Didi, RunKeeper, Number26, Venmo, and Viber.

While the following ones are yet to be integrated with Siri:

LinkedIn, Vogue Runway, Looklive, Skype, Square Cash, The Roll, Pikazo, and Monzo.
