HP Spectre x360 was everyone’s favorite laptop because of its stylish outlook and a solid battery life. The convertible feature was perhaps that one thing which attracted a lot of customers. It enabled people to use it as a tablet or in a tent mode for watching movies and executing similar activities. Already, two minor revisions have been made to this particular laptop. It was basically the addition of OLED screen and upgrade to a Sky Lake processor that was initially planned. Now, however, HP plans to put this laptop on a diet. The company has announced to launch a 13 percent thinner version of the laptop. It will have a classy 13-inch display that will complement the whole outlook of it.

A sleeker laptop is always up for grabs but then people cannot compromise sleekness over a poor battery life. HP, therefore, keeps it all going with the fast charge feature. With a 90 minute charge, the battery shoots up to a good 90 percent and then works for a while on the saved battery. The keyboard is wider than its predecessor because an extra line of keys has been added which allows the user to get quick access to their home page and up/down keys. For people who spend most of their work time typing, these navigation keys prove to be really helpful. The wide touchpad further makes usage easy.

The resolution, however, does not show much of an improvement. In fact, compared to previous 2560 x 1440 pixels, this only has a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Individually speaking, the resolution is good enough and gives a decent display, but comparatively, it did not satisfy the customers. The sound system is upgraded by the addition of two extra speakers, which generates loud sound that sends reverberations and goes deep into its surroundings. For those of you who like watching movies on the laptop, this sound system will surely enhance your viewing experience.

Moving on to some killer new features that the latest update has offered is Thunderbolt 3 and Windows Hello.

When a laptop is reduced in thickness, the connectivity gets affected as the number of ports decrease. In this laptop, however, a USB type C Thunderbolt 3 port saves the day. The port can be converted to display and charging both, in no time. Apart from this, it also has a usual type-A port which means that connectivity is still in the game.

Windows hello is an interesting feature as it uses facial recognition to unlock the system. All that a user has to do is just sit in front of the laptop and it will automatically unlock, by automatic face recognition. The positioning of the webcam has also been engineered smartly. Its distance from top bezel is perfect which gives a full picture. Strong passwords are also beneficial, but at times when laptop sleeps, one can quickly unlock it with Hello without having to type the whole thing.

Such features are what make your money worthwhile. If one is planning to spend a great deal of it on only one product, then he/she should not compromise on the quality or effectiveness of the purchase. Paklap.pk feels that HP has truly done a tremendous job with their latest update and techies should definitely give it a try if they are planning to buy a new laptop.
