Ones holding on to the older operating systems Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 even after the release of Windows 10, have been a victim of the annoying application forcing them to upgrade to Windows 10. Such people can finally have a sigh of relief. Thanks to an update, which is finally getting rid of the application.

Microsoft published on its website that the offer to upgrade to Windows 10 for free, has expired on 29th of July 2016. There is a fresh update, which will discard the “Get Windows 10” app and all the other software that suggests for upgrading to Windows 10. The update has a 4.3 GB size and is available through Windows update.

The application was a headache for the users who wanted to stick to their previous versions but were forced to go for the change. Some cases have been registered where even if the users declined to upgrade, they were forced to upgrade. The app was also thought of as malware. A number of users were unsatisfied with the security issues of Windows 10.

An amount of $119 is now compulsory to pay in order to get Windows 10. Analysts and bloggers at Paklap.pk have claimed that the product keys for Windows 7 and 8.1 go well for Windows 10. But this isn't expected to last for too long.
