There is so much to learn about this desirable device with delicate and well-hidden features which you might have missed out that Paklap.pk doesn't want you to be oblivious of. So here we go, let’s start exploring the new world of technology i.e. your very own Surface Pro 4.

Customizing the pressure sensitivity:

Having 1,024 pressure sensitivity levels, now your new Surface device can be customized according to your demands and in unique styles. For this, you need to have an app from the Microsoft store. It requires having an account with the store, but the good part is that the app is actually going to be free for the users. On acquiring an account, you further need to search for the word "Surface", which will lead to the two options

• Surface Trackpad Settings

• Surface

You need to get hold of the Surface, download it and install the app. By clicking the pen icon, the sensitivity can be checked as well as adjusted by moving up and down.

Changing the Surface of the Pen's Battery:

Users who had been using Surface Pro 3 knew very well that its pen can easily be loosened and can be removed. But, this is not the case with the well designed new Surface pen which is not simple and easy to be unscrewed and detached. In order to get to its AAAA battery and be able to change it, take hold of the shaft and then turn the pocket clip which is at the end, counter- clockwise, until it clicks open. Extra care is required while undergoing this procedure of changing the AAAA battery.

Possessing a Hidden Button:

The surface Pen comprises a button at its top that is the “eraser”. Other than this, it doesn’t seem like that it is having any kind of other buttons. But wait, my dear fellows, it comprises a secret button! Must be wondering where it is? Well, at the very end of the plastic strip just above where your finger would rest when using it, there it is!! This acts as a right mouse click.

Spaced Out:

Many Microsoft stores have been telling that the new Surface Pro 4 will not work out with the old Surface Pro 3 dock, but the Microsoft itself said that it is going to work so it has to work. The company has planned to make a fully functioned spacer which will let the new Surface Pro 4 work in the older dock. But unfortunately, it is out of stock currently and the company is on its toes to fulfill the demand of their customers.

Entering into the System’s UEFI:

Now if the curiosity of going into the system’s UEFI begins, just press the button to increase the volume and keep on holding it. Meanwhile, press and release the power button of the device. The volume button should not be released throughout this procedure, and it will directly boot into the system’s UEFI. This will lead you to have a look at your firmware information as well as the serial number of your laptop.

Linux is not a big deal:

Entering UEFI, the secure boot can easily be disabled. It is that time when the Surface Book is told to check the certificate from the OS before booting. It can be set to “Microsoft only”, thus limiting it only to get it signed into Microsoft Operating System, booting to the third party UEFI system. Finally, it leads you to load any Linux OS of choice.

Charging Surface Pro 4:

The 13.5-inch screen Clipboard can be charged simply by plugging the Surface Connector into the bottom of the Clipboard.

Bases can be swapped:

Not being mentioned and documented by the Microsoft, another secret can be revealed; the clipboard section of the Surface Book that came without a GPU can be swapped onto a base that came with it. Thus cheaper Core i5 model without GPU is swapped with your boss’s Core i7 version that has the GPU.

Power Bricks:

Two different power blocks use the surface connector to charge. One is 30 watt, the other one is 60 watt. 30 watt is being used be new Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book without GPU. 60 watt is employed by Surface Book with GPU.

Run GeForce Experience:

Games run at their best based on NVIDIA’s testing and recommendations by downloading free GeForce Experience from NVIDIA.

Switching over:

In the case of running applications and games which are having discrete graphics, it can automatically make a selection of switching over onto the GPU or the Integrated Graphics (IGP).
