"Keeping up with its tradition to honor the World AID Day, this year Apple has decided to allow customers to have a greater contribution in fighting this disease. As it has been doing so for the past decade, it will turn logos red, introduce special (Red) products and donate money. In fact, Apple is the largest donator to the fund.

This year, in addition to introducing special Red editions to popular apps, Apple has introduced iPhone cases and Beats headphones and speakers. Beats Solo 3 Wireless headphones have been introduced in red color, the signature color of the fund. It can be bought at the Apple store for £249.95. They have the same features and audio signature as the normal model. In addition to this, the Beats Pill+ Bluetooth speakers have also been colored red to support the fight against AIDS and cost £189. Money earned from these products will be forwarded to (Red) fund.

Apple has also decided to change the themes of its popular apps to red. These apps include Angry Birds 2, Best Friends Forever, Boom Beach, Candy Crush, Jelly Saga, Clash of Clans and Plants vs. Zombies Heroes. They will have limited-edition special (Red) content. All money from in-app purchases in these and other 20 apps will be given to the charity.

Till 6 December, it is estimated $1 on every item brought using Apple Pay from any App Store while the Bank of America will donate for every Apple Pay transaction made through its card. Both donations will amount to $1 million each. The Killers album Don’t Waste Your Wishes will be made available on iTunes with 100 percent of proceeds in the US being donated.
