The Korean gadgets producing giant Samsung is a company that needs no sort of introduction. Recently Samsung has launched a new type of removable memory card in UFS (Universal Flash Storage) category. These cards are reported to have more than 5 times scan speed and 2 times the written work execution than the currently used Micro SD cards.
These new UFS cards are available in a wide range of sizes starting from 32 GB and going up to 256GB, and their primary usage is in mobile shooting devices with high resolution such as drones, 3D VR cams, DSLRs and actions cams. This new technology will indeed provide an ideal user experience and memory card solutions to the people belonging to digital field.
Moving towards the features, the scanning speed of the previously used MicroSD Cards couldn’t go beyond 95 Mbps while the UFS cards have a speed up to 530 Mbps. Samsung claims that these could be compared to an average solid state drive (SSD). This card could peruse or scan a full HD movie of approximately 5GBs in just 10 secs, while it would take 50 seconds for a MicroSD to do so. As far as composing is concerned, the speed offered by the new and the old one is 170 Mbps and 90 Mbps respectively. The composing speed by MicroSD cards in phones is around 20 Mbps, while UFS cards are 8-9 times faster. UFS cards are significantly faster than the MicroSDs, and would revolutionize the working methodologies.
