At a recent event in Berlin, Acer announced a number of their new releases, which included PCs, laptops, minicomputers, and other accessories. Among all these announcements, most noteworthy was that of world’s first ever curved screen in the form of “Predator 21” and the thinnest laptop, namely “Swift 7”.

In their new Swift series there were in total 4 laptops, amongst which Swift 7 was the thinnest. The total thickness is even less than 1 centimeter, 9.98 mm to be exact. This beats all other famous laptops like Apple Macbook, HP Spectre, and ASUS. The display is 13.3 inch with built-in IPS panel that has a striking resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Inside is the Intel Core i5 processor with a total of 8 GB RAM. The battery will last for nine hours of continuous usage. The price is expected to be somewhere around $999 which when Paklap.pk converts into PKR it will be 104220Rs.

Predator 21 X in the Predator series is the one with the curved screen, and this is a first ever creation. Inside it is the 7th Generation Intel Core processors. The curved screen has a size of 21 inches with the resolution of 2560 x 1080 pixels. This gaming laptop is expected to release somewhere in the first quarter of coming year.

Other than this, in the Predator series, the 15-inch and the 17-inch models were announced for improvements. Now both of these laptops are VR ready and support the GTX 1070 graphics. These will be available in September and will cost about Pak Rs 114,000. All of these laptops have the Tobi eye tracking feature which detects the user’s eye and then allows them to log in.

Other than this, there was the launch of Acer spin series which includes convertible laptops. Acer Spin 7, for instance, is the highlight of this series. It has a large 14-inch display with the resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It runs on the powerful 7th generation Intel processor which is best one amongst the other ones in this series. This laptop starts from a price of about PKR 80,200Rs. Accessories like Revo base and Pawbo + were also announced.
