"A laptop purchase should be one made with a lot of thought and research. If you are wondering which of Dell’s refreshed XPS 13 with Kaby Lake CPU you should be spending your money on, then lots of factors should be taken into account. However, two of the most important factors that Paklap.pk will be discussing are Display and Battery life.

To test the Battery life, the laptops were tested using a Laptop Mag Battery Test, in this trial the laptop is put through continuous web usage with Wi-Fi. And, this laptop with a 3200 x 1800 touchscreen display lasted for a solid 9 hours and 11 minutes. However, the battery life average for ultraportable category laptops is a little above 8 hours.

When the non-touch 1080p screen version of the XPS 13 was tested it persisted for 13 hours and 49 minutes which puts it in the list of the longest runtimes for a laptop that has been put to the test this year.

One thing that should be kept in mind here is that the touchscreen version has a Core i7 processor whereas the non-touch XPS 13 laptop features a Core i5 CPU. What might be the cause of the lower battery life for the touchscreen model though is its higher resolution and touch options which can be battery-draining during average use.

As for the displays, they are both visibly different for both laptops. The 1080p version is amazing, covering an impressive 94 percent of the RGB color gamut. The brightness goes to a level of 302 units. And on top of all this, the viewing angles are pretty nice as well.

The QHD+ model, however, covers a great 105.7 percent of the gamut and reaches 305 units of brightness. The resolution for this laptop is higher and much more detailed. It really brings out the colors and is more vivid than the non-touch screen version.

As far as the processors are concerned, it is no surprise here, but the core i7 processor won over the core i5 CPU on performance tests like Geekbench, 3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited, etc.

Therefore, keep all of this in mind if you are facing the decision of which Dell’s refreshed XPS 13 with Kaby Lake CPU, you should go for.
