Assistive upgrade
An assistive upgrade is one of the methods to upgrade to the Windows 10 even after the date of the free upgrade by Microsoft is over. It is only available for assistive technology which includes Braille peripherals or a mouse requiring less dexterity. Even though the Windows 10 upgrade period is over; Microsoft already announced that it would be available even after the July deadline is over, till an unspecified limit of time.
The method to upgrade through assistive technology is that you only have to download the EXE file, and all you have to do is run the file and the upgrading process will start. The Microsoft professionals have told that it is not tested and it has never been the first choice for the Microsoft. Also, the users who do not use the assistive technology won’t be able to have this benefit for free.
Reset your clock
It has been pointed out by the Reddit users that the date related contracts or agreements would work if you set the clock of your computer back to the date when the free upgrade was announced by Microsoft for the first time, the date being 28th of July 2016. This trick has not been tested yet, but it is speculated that even if it will work, it would not function for long.
Don’t be Genuine
You can use the Windows 10, upgrade it and then use it without a license but it is not encouraged. It has been rumored that Microsoft is planning to provide the users of Windows 10 with free Anniversary Update. These Anniversary updates will include Cortana improvements, Windows Ink, Microsoft Edge Extensions, and much more characteristics and features.
