The comparison between Samsung and Apple products is a fun topic to be talked about. Both the companies have had their fare share of amazing products. But let’s talk about tablets for now, which one would be better for you; Samsung Galaxy Tab or Apple iPad?
Both products are great, hands down, and serve their users very well. But there is always room for a little discussion. Here are a few points that may want you to choose Samsung Galaxy Tab over Apple IPad:
A tablet is a gadget that the users want to carry around easily. This is where Galaxy Tab takes the prize. The measurements of the Tab are 190.09 x 120.45 x 11.98mm with the accurate weight of 380g, whereas IPad weighs 680g with the dimensions of 242.8 x 189.7 x 13.4mm. These numbers alone marks a huge difference. IPad is a lot heavier than Galaxy Tab. This can be difficult especially when you have to hold the tablet for longer periods. Also, the overall ratio of the iPad does not make typing an effortless job. Holding the iPad with uneasy positions may cause discomfort.
Would you be okay with your tablet having no camera? If yes then Apple IPad would not be of much trouble to you. Very sadly, iPad does not have a camera! If you want a tablet that has a camera (like most people do), then Galaxy Tablet should be your choice.
IPad does not offer any expansion slot for the users who may require more storage on their tablet. There are different models to choose from though, offering different storage capabilities; 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. So if you go for the 16GB model you are stuck with that. In contrast, the Tab has a microSD slot. This is for increasing room for storage if required to the user.
Samsung Tab supports all types of video codecs, this way the users have multiple options to choose from. On the other hand, iPad only supports VLC Media Player, that too was an addition made later on as there were quite a lot of video formats that iPad was unable to support. This may have been a consequence of Galaxy Tab supporting all the formats.
