Kaby Lake Processors

Intel 7 th Gen Kaby Lake processors are a successor of Sky Lake processors, the ones Intel released last year in September. Kaby Lake processors were meant to be released before the end of 2016 and as soon as they came out built-in into the laptops, Paklap has made it available for Pakistan. On 30 th August, Intel announced that it will be launching 7 th Gen Core processors called “Kaby Lake”. Intel’s PC partners have started to introduce Kaby Lake processors into their hybrids and laptops already. The architecture of Kaby Lake processors is quite similar to that of Sky Lake processors, except Kaby Lake is more refined.

“Y – Series” Kaby Lake Processors

Y – series, previously known as M series, was renamed to simplify things for the consumers. These are 4.5 watt low power chips, which run at such low power that they don’t need a fan or an additional cooling unit. It is designed specifically for thinner laptops and allows Hyper threading. The Y-series chips include m3-7Y30 that runs at 1.0GHz – 2.6GHz, i5-7Y54 that runs at 1.2GHz – 3.2GHz, and i7-7Y75 that runs at 1.3GHz – 3.6GHz processing speed.

“U – Series” Kaby Lake Processors

The U-series chips are designed for standard laptops, however, to distinguish its features from the preceding ones, it will be known as Intel 7 th Gen processors. The series includes i3- 7100U that runs at 2.4GHz, i5-7200U that runs at 2.5GHz - 3.1GHz turbo, and i7-7500U that runs at 2.7GHz – 3.5 turbo, processing chips. They are faster and more productive than all the previous versions of Intel Core Processors.
