LG, however, revealed that they are working on the foldable, transparent screen display as well and the device might be available in the market in the upcoming year.

LG recently filed a patent in which it was highlighted that the device would look like a book where one side features the media control panels with a transparent screen whereas the other side would be decently plain and opaque. The concept of this transparent touchscreen isn’t new since both, Samsung and Aston Martin concept phone Mobiado CPT002 had this technology featured in 2013 and 2011, respectively, but it seems likely that the LG device would be the 1st to make this technology prevalent in the market.

LG has always surprised the market with its attractive and unique products, and it seems inevitable that history will repeat itself in 2017. The patent by LG, however, didn’t reveal any details regarding the device but according to various reports, it folds up to 360- degrees, similar to a book with both, audio and video functioning depicted on one side of the half. There isn’t any confirmation, but rumor is that the device is expected to offer high specifications and an energy-efficient large display that folds up for easy transportation. Once the device is folded, its transparent display monitors the other half of the screen too. The concept seems to be flawless, but some recognized experts and developers still seem to criticize the idea as they think that folding the screen too often could do serious damage over time. Regardless of how experts think and feel about the new technological advancement, developers at LG are pretty confident that the concept would be decisive in taking their sales to the next level.
