Samsung Notebook 9 Spin is such a masterpiece that the team at PakLap is totally raving about it. People were going nuts sharing their views regarding its “SPIN” feature, which is technically the most dominant feature of the notebook – thus the name. Samsung launched their idea of spin in the market, to be followed by Apple, HP, Dell and others, who launched their notebooks with the same feature but different names like; HP’s “360 degree”, and Asus’s “flip”.

Samsung upped the game with touchscreen display!

The hunk comes with a 13.3 inches, 3200 x 1800p (QHD+) display that ensures vivid and lively picture quality. Its refreshing rate is also highly commendable as it is hard to pick for human eye, when you switch from task to task.

It can be converted to a tablet in a snap!

The two hinges in the notebook are rotatable at a 360 degree. One can push the screen all the way to rest at the back of its keyboard and convert it into a portable tablet in no time.

Small enough to be carried anywhere and everywhere

No matter what mode you take into consideration, the tablet mode or the notebook mode, it is portable both ways. The size is nice and compact to easily fit inside the bags and be carried at work, to home or at school. It is quite literally a travel-friendly notebook that fits almost everywhere.

The weight further increases Portability

Samsung Notebook 9 Spin’s weight is so superficially light that it becomes almost impossible to believe that it is loaded with such savvy specifications. It is only 2.87 pounds.

The Specifications:

It is carefully engineered to come up to the demanded top-notch finesse of the tech market. The expertise required to design it can be estimated by its size of 12.39 x 8 .69 x 0.59”, 13.3” display, 6th Gen Core i7, thunderbolt speed processor and 8GB RAM + 256 SSD. It comes with a full sized HDMI port, AC adapter port, microSD card slot, a headphone/microphone jack and two USB 3.0 ports. With that many ports it makes sure you stay connected with everything you want to and is built-in with protection software to prevent transference of any unwanted infectious data. All those things in its hard-to-believe weight of 2.87 pounds is like, superman + batman + ironman inside of a common man.

With its 8GB SSD RAM and its spin feature that allows you to convert it into a tablet, it is for sure an ultra-speedy tablet launched in the market. We just cannot brag enough about the spin feature as it just rotates so flatteringly smooth that one cannot help but wonder what technicalities must have been drawn in the background, to build those firm and stable hinges.

The Battery:

Potentially the battery may not last as long as the company stated. Samsung claimed, “39Wh dual cell battery (5120mAh) can offer up to 7.3 hours of juice”, but with the workload of video streaming and heavier apps, it will last only for 5 hours approx.

How handsome is the hunk from the outside?

Made up of Aluminium, it sets a standard of class and strength. The metal body in its revolutionary thin shape makes it highly desirable. While its overall body is an example of metallic pleasure, a silver lining runs across the notebook, which further makes it look slimmer and more attractive. However, there is one put off and that is the location of Samsung’s logo. Instead of locating it in the middle, they chose to locate it centrally right. The logo positioning looks quite abrupt but other than that, overall it has a REMARKABLY ATTRACTIVE BODY and is a treat for the tech Gods.

Performance:

Its battery time is from 5 to 7 hours . 7 hours if you operate it on low-brightness mode and run heavy apps, while 5 hours if your operate it in ultra-brightness mode and run heavier apps like Youtube, Facebook, Google Chrome, etc. The response timing is swift and abrupt, the mouse cursor responds commendably fast.

Design:

The design is very promising. It can be held and opened single handedly. The curve around the edges makes it easier to grip while operating, especially in tablet mode. The body picks up finger prints and has screws. The screws can be opened by every user, which means you can service it yourself without having to go to a laptop expert and pay huge sums. There are two speakers placed at the back on either sides which are too small for their incredible functioning. It will take some time for the user to settle down and be comfortable with the keyboard, as for the first impression, the keys felt good at the first click. The stable hinges allow you to use it in laptop mode, presentation mode, tablet mode as well as tent mode.

All in all, it is a piece worth spending on. Once invested on it, you won’t regret it later!
