"No doubt Samsung for the past a few years have been working pretty well with Android. Samsung has a great line of smartphones and tablets on its credit targeting people of almost every walk of life with its price tags. This time Samsung has launched Samsung Galaxy TabPro S, a 2 in 1 device, which means it facilitates its users regarding tablet as well as a laptop.

Coming towards its specifications, usage and working level, what has been figured out is that while trying to be best in both the cases, Samsung Galaxy TabPro S has been convinced to make certain compromises and is lagging behind in several regards.

Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is available is two colors that are black and white. It is available with Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional. It comprises:

• A 6th generation processor that is an Intel Core m3 Dual-Core 2.2 Ghz

• An Intel HD Graphics 515 GPU

• 2160x1440 pixel superAMOLED screen.

• RAM 4GB

• Wifi

• Bluetooth 4.1

• 5200mAh internal nonremovable battery

• Storage 128 GB

Here comes the weak point that there is no MicroSD card slot for storage expansion and Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is offering USB-C port for expansion, charging and accessories. So it can be one of the major complaints that can be put forward by the customers.

Hardware

Samsung Galaxy TabPro S weighs 693 grams considerably very light. It is 6.3mm thick which is probably the thinnest Windows 10 Tablet. It is first 12” tablet.

The most attractive feature it possesses is the striking superAMOLED display technology. With saturated colors, it gives a very pleasant look. Its screen is very shiny, and one can clearly notice finger smudges on it if it is being used in a well-lit area. Whereas its automated brightness does not respond correctly, that is if the Tab is being used inside with the lowest brightness settings, then after taking it outside you won’t be able to see anything on the screen. Anyhow the keyboard has some function keys for controlling the brightness.

Samsung Galaxy TabPro S encompasses front and back 5-megapixel cameras. It also supports 4G SIM card.

Keyboard

What has converted this tablet into the laptop is the addition of the detachable keyboard and trackpad. The keyboard is basically a hard plastic at the bottom with a flexible flap that goes at the back of Samsung Galaxy TabPro S and attaches itself magnetically to it. This Keyboard cover or flap offers two viewing angles, one as upright which is suitable for desk position and the other one is a little flatter one to provide comfort to its users. Further, if you want to adjust it at any other angle with respect to your need, it is unable to fulfill your requirements in this regard.

As far as the finishing of the keyboard is being concerned, its keys feel like it is made up of a bit cheap plastic which can be said to be done to keep the price a bit low. On the other hand, its trackpad considers being working fine with quick responses it made to scrolling and zooming.

A pen for TabPro was also meant to come along with it but is still not available.

Battery Life

Samsung offers 10.5 hours of constant battery life. However, it also depends on the usage and the brightness of the screen. Whereas Samsung also offers USB-C fast charging, this provides another 2.4 hours in just 30 minutes of charging.

Windows 10

While working on a laptop, it is considered to be a complete operating system, but when it comes to tablet mode, it is unable to show proper results. Moreover, with the operating system in mind you are tempted to load heavy yield applications, but due to hardware constraints, this cannot be manageable.

Conclusion

Taking a preview, while trying to come up with two in one, it falls short in both the cases. With a limited storage and memory available it is dismissed as a laptop. However, in the case of the tablet, the Windows 10 is not a good choice."
