Roku Express and the Express+ Series

For the low-end users, the Roku Express, which is the replacement of Roku 1, is now launched. The new device offers a better user experience but is 75% smaller than the previous device. The processing power of the chip is doubled, and it now supports 1080HD streaming.

It also offers microSD card slot, Ethernet port, USB port and the digital optical audio output port.

The Express+ model can work with older TVs, which the user wants to upgrade to a Smart TV. It comes with a composite cable and an HDMI cable.

Both the above models come with IR remote. The devices are missing the headphone jack. However, the app for iOS and Android offer voice search and private listening for the Express users.

Roku Premiere and Premiere+ series

The Premiere series is aimed at the 4K TV users. It offers 4K support at 60 frames per second.

The Premiere+ further adds the HDR support to 4K and comes with a "point anywhere" remote and a headphone jack (unlike the Premiere's standard IR remote). It also comes with added ports, like the microSD card slot and the Ethernet port.

Both the devices come with a Quad-core processor and also support 802.11ac wireless connectivity.

Roku Ultra Series

The best in this line is the Roku Ultra. This comes with everything that includes HDR and 4K support. It has a quad-core processor, 802.11ac wireless along with Dolby Digital Plus to act like your home theater system.

The remote comes with a headphone jack that allows private listening, lost remote finding attribute, voice search and buttons for gaming.
