"As the world awaits the launch of the newest Star Wars films, Rouge One: A Star Wars story, Wow! Stuff has revealed two new VR-Viewers to commemorate its launch. The viewers are based on two characters from the movie- an Imperial storm trooper and K2SO. Each costs $15.99 and will be made available on Tesco hopefully in December. From what is known, they will be compatible with smartphones and provide a 3D image together with 360 degrees view.
The viewers can be used on both Android and iPhones. An app available on both Google Play and App Store will enable users to find and download Virtual Reality based Star wars content. The users can simply insert their smartphones in the viewer and see the ‘galaxy far, far away’ spread out in front of them. You can play games, go on adventures with their favorite characters or just simply explore the Star Wars world. This is not it. The user can download any Star Wars app he or she wishes to from a range of apps available on Google Play and App Store.
And if you ever get tired of everything Star Wars related (though that is quite difficult) you may download any application from the stores and enjoy it. For this purpose, the viewers are approved with the ‘Works with Google’ cardboard viewers. This also guarantees an immersive Virtual Reality experience. A button on the top of the viewer allows you to interact with what you see. Added to this there is a QR-code included on the viewer to connect it to your phone ensuring a better experience.
This is not the first time that Star Wars VR viewers are being released. Last year, at the time of the launch of Star Wars: The Force Awakens similar headsets were released by Disney based on popular characters- C-3PO, R2-D2, BB-8, Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper. Disney had also released a related app Jakku Spy for fans to experience VR in a Star Wars app.
