Seems like the “best ultrabook” tag was not enough for DELL that they had to uplift the laptop by introducing a portable version of the same SKU. The popular DELL XPS 13 is about to get a 2-in- 1 version, announced at the CES in 2017. XPS 13 already was amongst the top of the list laptops and created some loyal customers. After hearing this recent news, they are all excited to get the new and improved laptop in their hands.
About the upcoming laptop, not much has been said regarding the specifications. One thing that is sure about the new XPS 13, is that we'll have the same Infinity Edge display, as we have on the existing model. The bezel-free screen will look stunning and the body will comparatively be smaller than its display. The new laptop, because of the convertible feature, will be able to be put in different modes like the tent mode, tablet mode and off course the letting-you- work-professionally laptop mode.
Users will be more flexible in their usage of the laptop. It is going to be a tough competition between the previous model and its latest update, because already people are highly satisfied with XPS 13’s epic battery life, gorgeous display and strong port selection. DELL will have to bring something more than just the convertible feature in order to attract more customers. The new version of the laptop will be powered by Intel 7th generation Kaby Lake processor, which will have a battery life 2 hours longer than the previous one. Graphics performance will also be an improvement, or such is what people expect.
Regarding the outlook of the previous model, it was a really classy one with an aluminum sheet covering. Aluminum made the laptop lightweight and gave it a stronger feel. It was the design due to which people were initially attracted to the laptop, only to find about the high-quality features and drool on it later. This means that Dell has to make sure that they at least maintain the outlook if not improve it to a great extent.
Another interesting announcement at the CES in January will be regarding Dell’s bend-back version of Latitude 13 business laptop. With two announcements lined up, DELL has surely created expectations amongst the audience. Dell latitude 13 didn’t have a good processor and the battery life wasn’t satisfying. Clearly, people are expecting an improvement in CPU, for it to be more powerful.
