So if you’re doing some important task, the power usage would increase. But if you’re doing an ordinary task, say checking the time, the power usage would automatically decrease. This means that you don’t have to handle battery settings manually. It just works on its own in the background. 

AI-Powered Battery Management - Best Battery-Saver

The AI-Powered Battery Management takes things up a notch compared to the Adaptive Power Mode. Instead of keeping one setting for everyone, it learns your pattern of use - just like AI. This means that your device will not behave the same way from the get-go; no low power during time checks only. It will observe your habits, like when do you charge your phone or at what time do you doomscroll. Then it will prepare ahead of you and boost or slow down the speed during those hours. It’s cool if you ask us - almost like having an invisible personal assistant 24/7. 

Changes in Internal Hardware - Low Battery Mode

Apple has made some changes in the hardware, or better say internal design, of the 2025 devices. You’ll notice that now the newly-launched devices behave differently when you switch modes. Most users keep their iPhones for three-to-four cycle upgrades, after which they get a new one. This is a good thing because previously, they were getting the latest iPhone every year. So yeah, battery management matters more than ever now, and we love that Apple is finally paying attention. 

iOS26 has already reduced some massive stress from the battery by limiting heat and managing charging speed. It has also reduced extra power allotment to unnecessary tasks, especially overnight. Future battery updates may go even further.
