AMD has announced the releases of VEGA and NAVI GPUs. Both VEGA and NAVI were rumored to be released by the end of 2016. However, it has now been confirmed that they are not coming this year. AMD VEGA’s variants will be releasing in the next years. On the other hand AMD NAVI GPU is set to be released in 2019.

AMD was in talks to release two AMD VEGA video cards. The good news is that it will release three video cards altogether. VEGA 10 and VEGA 11 will be ready for use for the buyers in 2017 and 2018. And VEGA 20 will hit the markets in 2019.

The people who were waiting for AMD NAVI chips would now have to wait a little longer. A few days back, it was rumored to be released at least by 2018. Well, the sources have now confirmed that it will not be releasing any time before 2019.

Our sources have reported that AMD VEGA 10 will be releasing earlier in the next year. The chip is rumored to have 24 TFLOPS of 16-bit precision performance and 12 TFLOPS of single-precision performance. It will also be featuring the GFX9 graphics core technology along with 14nm FinFET manufacturing process. AMD VEGA 10 is expected to consume around 225 watts. For providing ample amount of storage to the users, it will feature 8 GB or 16 GB of HBM2, and a memory bandwidth of 512GB/s.

However, not a lot of information is known about AMD VEGA 11. What we can assure is that it will be in competition with GTX TITAN X. Its power requirement is expected to be around 300 watts and will be releasing by the end of 2017.

AMD VEGA 20 will be featuring 7nm FinFET manufacturing process, and will be having multiple cores. It will have HBM2 VRAM, having a capacity of 32 GB. It will consume around 150 watts of power while in use. AMD VEGA 20, however, will be releasing in the year 2019.

AMD NAVI chips will be released shortly after the arrival of AMD VEGA variants in the market, which is in 2019. However, we are not sure on how many variants of NAVI will AMD be releasing. Some rumors say that AMD NAVI will also be coming in the form of AMD NAVI 10 and AMD NAVI 11.
