"It gets really irritating when everyone else has gotten their hands on the OLED display laptops, and you are still stuck with the old LCDs. LCDs may not be bad, but you have to keep renewing your gadgets as new technology arrives. Currently, this goes for all the gamers who have all their gaming laptops in LCD screens. The situation, however, has taken a turn with DELL answering their calls by offering a classy update to Alienware 13. Mobile gamers can finally enjoy the experience of using an OLED display with the same gaming specialized features. This short review will give all the techies an insight to what the device holds for us this time.

Since its display is the highlight, discussing it first would be most appropriate. OLED displays are better because they produce much clear and bright images. The colors are way richer, and the overall sharpness/contrast ratio beats LCD at all levels. Now all of you must be wondering that if it is so bright and clear, then it must be draining a good amount of battery life, but no! To our surprise, it is much more energy efficient than LCDs, so you don’t have to worry at all about the charging.

The overall look of the laptop is as engrossing as it needs to be in order to attract a gamer. Even though the majority of the body is made of plastic, it still gives a classy look of chiseled metal. It not only looks sturdy but in fact, the solidity is guaranteed. Moreover, this updated model has a “hinge forward” design that not only makes it look cool but creates more air for heat to pass and the process of opening and closing becomes smoother than how it used to be. In terms of connectivity all the basic ports are proffered; there is one for USB type C, one for Thunderbolt 3, two for USB type 3, HDMI, mini display, audio/video, and a lock slot.

Even on the inside, the laptop is pretty much of a keeper. It has Intel Core i7 processor that can boost up to 3.5GHz. The processor is super fast and allows the user even to multitask at times, without the laptop getting stuck. Since it is a gaming laptop, graphics had to be first-rate. GTX 1060 fulfills the very requirement and offers higher frame rates at 1080p, which is all that gamers want when buying a laptop. There is ample storage with a good 16 GB of RAM, or at least 8 GB. RGB lighted keyboard comes with more customized options to enhance your gaming experience. You get to choose the color of your keyboard and keypad. Typing on the keyboard itself is very smooth and never gets tiring or slow. The audio system is great for a laptop this small. Users can customize sound according to their requirements for gaming and/or multimedia. Even though for gaming laptops battery isn’t that important, as you keep it connected while gaming as a rule of thumb, but still since the laptop is this good everyone would definitely want to carry it along. It offers a 76 watt-hour battery which is better than the average gaming battery life.

Concluding the review, Paklap.pk thinks that the laptop may be a little heavy but with the outstanding features and unparalleled performance it is definitely worth the shot."
