The new MSI Raider GE76 boasts the most powerful processing chip that was created by Intel®, to date, claims the company itself. It has NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3080 GPU, 32 GB DDR5 RAM, 1.5 TB SSD, 17.3” large FHD micro-edge display, and SteelSeries per-key RGB backlit keyboard. It outshines all of this in a titanium blue profile that is a little more than an inch slim. Furthermore, Windows 11 Pro make shifting from work to play mode smooth as butter.

Processor

Flaunts the most powerful processor by Intel®, the 12^th Gen Core i9-12900HK, codenamed Alder Lake. With a 14-core hybrid architecture that includes 6 performance cores (P-Cores) and 8 efficiency cores (E-Cores). It gives a clock rate of 1.8 GHz effortlessly, and with Intel® Turbo Boost technology, it can go up to 5.0 GHz. The chip is built on the space-saving Intel® 7 form-factor that enables slim chassis while still leaving room for high-performance cooling and ventilation.

Alder Lake processor has also introduced some new technologies into the system such as DDR5, PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 6E (Gig+), and Thunderbolt™ 4.

RAM and Storage

Coming with two RAMs of 16 GB 4800-DDR5, it is one of the first few models to have DDR5 RAM. There is a total of 32 GB that runs at a speed of 4800 MT/s. If you haven’t used DDR5 before, you’ll notice a major uplift in the overall performance.

There are two storage drives as well. One has 512 GB NVMe Gen 4x4 Solid State Drive, while the other has 1 TB NVMe Gen 4x4 Solid State Drive. Together they give you a total of 1.5 TB NVMe SSD which is a good amount of space to store all the games and apps while ensuring a terrific speed.

So much so that the whole price tag is justified just for the frame rates. Titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Cyberpunk 2077 can be run at the highest settings. It will let you enjoy Ray Tracing at its best. Plus, with NVIDIA DLSS 2.0, the machine-learning AI will enhance your gameplay.

Display

The nice and responsive Full HD display lets you make the most of your favourite games on the large 17.3-inches display. It has a decent refresh rate of 144 Hz which is good enough. Moreover, the IPS display panel has a colour rating of 100% sRGB. Its colour rating is quite impressive even for the creators and designers.

Cooler Boost 5

This is MSI’s latest thermal solution that has dedicated fans and exhaust for the components that tend to heat up the most, the CPU and the GPU. The fans are strong and large but they are smartly designed to give you a quiet performance even during intense gameplay. To ensure effective ventilation, it also has wider heat pipes.

Per-Key RGB Backlit Keyboard by SteelSeries and Precision Touchpad

MSI has brought a durable and tactile keyboard for gamers and creative professionals. The per-key backlighting can be adjusted between four brightness levels using the F10 and F11 keys. Depending on the ambience lighting, you can choose between these levels and work or play as per your heart’s content. The precision touchpad is responsive and can be clicked all over.

Build and Design

While it packs all the power in chassis that is a little more than an inch, its unique Titanium Blue colour is sure to catch some eyes. Since it is a large laptop with a 17.3-inches screen, it is better as a desk station. Other than the RGB lighting, the design is pretty much the same as the 10^th Gen and 11^th Gen models.
