Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 4
Lenovo has been going strong with their brand name for quite some time now. Their ThinkPads and IdeaPads count among the best sellers. Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 4 is a portable notebook that is designed for the professionals who are on the go. It is quite customisable in terms of storage and memory, and pack the phenomenal power of the latest 12th Gen Intel® CPU. Processor
Powered by the latest 12th Generation Intel® Core i7-1255u processor that is Deca Core. Its 10-core and 12-threads configuration allows it to handle 12 MB of Intel® SmartCache. The ten cores are subdivided into two Performance Cores (P-Cores) and eight Efficiency Cores (E-Cores). This Alder Lake processor has a clock rate of 1.1 GHz and with Intel® Turbo Boost technology this can go up to 4.7 GHz.
The SoC platform of the Intel® 12th Gen chip introduces the system to several new technologies and an updated Intel® integrated Iris Xe graphics.
RAM and Storage
Both are expandable. The built-in RAM memory is of 8 GB DDR4 which is soldered into the motherboard. But, there is another SO-DIMM DDR4 slot that lets you expand up to 40 GB.
It has a built-in space of 512 GB which can accommodate your daily data. However, for saving HD content and media, you might need to expand which should not be a problem with the presence of an additional storage drive. There are two storage drives supporting M.2 2242 4.0x4 NVMe. The storage can be increased by up to 2 TB.
Graphics and Display
The new and updated Intel® Iris Xe graphics is integrated on the SoC platform of the processing chip. Compared to the previous version, this version of it has faster graphics frequency and improved graphics output.
Watch your favourite series and work with superior clarity on the 15.6-inches large Full HD display. It gives a brightness rating of 300 nits and a colour rating of 45% NTSC. Furthermore, the IPS display panel is antiglare, so that you can work in different light settings without having to worry about reflections.
Build and Design
Lenovo ThinkPad 2022 has the same signature design in the same black colour as its predecessors. There is a company logo and the ThinkPad logo on the lid and as you open it up, you will be welcomed with a similar keyboard with a cursor key in a contrasting red colour, located in between. The hinges are rotatable up to 180-degrees.
Keeping the portability factor in mind, it is designed to be lightweight (3.75 pounds or 1.7 kg).
