People are still waiting for Microsoft’s Surface Book 2 and rightly so, after the huge success of its predecessor Surface Book 1. The rumors about the release dates and speculations about the laptop have been in talks, and here is what Paklap.pk has gathered from the reliable sources.

The highly anticipated Microsoft Surface Book 2 will most probably be coming with Intel Kaby Lake processor, sources say. Furthermore, it is also expected to support 4K video (3,840 x 2,160) and 3D graphics. The storage will have ample capacity with 1 TB internal memory and 16 GB of RAM.

The Microsoft hybrid will have a 13.5-inch screen. The resolution of the display output is expected to have a resolution of 3000 x 2000. Also, the Surface Book 2 will feature an Intel HD Graphics 520. This addition will definitely enhance the result of the screen and give the laptop an edge over many other laptops in the market.

To improve and fasten GPU and CPU results, the laptop hybrid is expected to support Thunderbolt 3. It will also have a port for USB 3.1 Type C, to provide more options for connectivity. Like the previous Surface Book, the hinge mechanism will allow the screen to be detached; separating the screen from the keyboard. What is noticeable here is that this must require the power to be on, as the detaching scheme is software based.

With an improved screen resolution and 4K screen output, more battery consumption will result as a consequence. This is why Surface Book 2 is expected to have a longer battery life mechanism. Intel Kaby Lake processors will result in longer battery life of the laptop overall. It is also rumored to have NVIDIA GeForce graphics chip for supporting heavy graphical outputs.

A special event will be conducted by Microsoft soon, which will reveal if the Microsoft Surface Book 2 will be released this year or in the next year. Tech fanatics have a theory regarding the release; if Microsoft does not release the Surface Book this year, there are high chances it could be released with Redstone 2 in 2017. One more reason the hybrid could release next year is that Intel Kaby Lake chips would be introduced at the end of this year, but we can't be sure since . However, we will soon find out the confirmed release date in the upcoming Microsoft event soon.

Until then, hold your breath Paklappers!
