We sure do like to say that the technology has advanced quite a lot, nothing wrong about that. But when you come to think of it, the prices have increased as well.

The battle between brands sure does make it look like that one brand is offering its products at a cheaper rate than the other. However, when you consider the bigger picture, paying 600$ for a tablet and not even using it to its fullest potential is pure idiocy.

Then there are also those buyers that wish to purchase a reasonable tablet that has mediocre specifications, but even those buyers don’t get what they want, as the prices are either too high, or the specs are not just up to the requirements.

For both the buyers, www.paklap.pk would recommend the Amazon Fire. As this mindboggling piece of tech doesn’t only consist of decent specs (for the users who just stick to the basics) but also comes at an incredibly low price.

Unlike the trending tablets in the market, Amazon Fire does not include dazzling specifications to be honest but then again at the cost of one iPad Mini 2; you can buy SIX Amazon Fire tablets and still have some money to spare. Remarkable isn’t it? Let’s see what this tablet holds for its users.

Exterior Features:

Amazon Fire was launched at the end of 2015, though the design that it holds, makes it look like a tablet from 2011-2012. The tablet consists of a plastic coating and is moderately strong and durable.

It is quite pleasant to hold, however, the exterior lacks in the finish, and the round edges surely deduct the style points. The plastic coating does make it a bit peculiar. Nevertheless, the dimensions and the shape save the design from going down the drain.

The design does take away some points from Amazon Fire, but other external features do make up for it. The tablet consists of a headphone jack that offers a moderate sound quality and also a micro SD card slot that can provide up to 128 GB of storage space.

Moreover, the tablet`s screen consists of 1024x600 pixel resolution. Yes, it isn’t HD and unlike the Fire HD tablets, it does not include a Gorilla Glass Screen. The screen isn’t IPS and caters only a single user. Anybody else watching it from the sides will definitely have a problem in viewing the picture clearly.

There is also a slight hue of green but is practically negligible. Even with all substandard qualities, a tablet having a 1024x600 screen resolution and a slot for micro SD card is, I think, more than enough for its price.

Internal Features:

Amazon Fire works on the OS 5 Bellini. For those who don’t know, Amazon has a different app store (Amazon App Store) that consists of many famous games and apps. Unlike the Play store, it does lack the variety; however, users can access most of the top-notch applications through this app store.

Furthermore, if you are a Prime member of the Amazon community, this tablet does wonders for you. It lets you download any of the TV shows or videos you’ve bought from Amazon or that are available in the prime library. Furthermore, it also permits you to view your content either by transferring through the SD card or by transferring the media directly to the tablet.

The low price does give it a lot of space for sloppy performance, though Amazon Fire does a decent job with its functionality. It does take some time to load applications as well as videos, though when they are on the go, there is no lagging if there are no apps open in the background.

If there are several apps running in the background, the tablet`s speed does get affected. Applications take longer than usual to open and the tap response is also delayed. Clear the apps in the background and the tablet returns to it normal state after a while.

Since Amazon Fire is for casual use, review of its gaming capability is a must. Surprisingly, normal Android games are a walk in the park for Amazon Fire. Big games do take a while to load, but the performance is quite smooth. However, low graphics and the SD screen do take some part of the fun away while playing the heavier games.

Amazon Fire comes in two versions, Regular Fire and the Kids Edition. The Kids addition consists of a Fire Tablet, protective casing, a one-year subscription to FreeTime Unlimited and a Worry-free Guarantee. The Worry-free Guarantee allows the users to replace the tablet as many times they want during the timespan of two years if it gets damaged. Whereas, FreeTime Unlimited is more like a Prime membership for kids allowing them to access kid-friendly books, apps, and games.

All in all, Amazon Fire is a remarkable tablet for its price, and if you are on a shoestring budget, this is what we would recommend to you.
