"As the holiday shopping season began earlier this month, at the IFA Berlin 2016 Acer announced two new laptops namely Acer Spin 7 and Acer Spin 5. Both models are cheap and extremely efficient. They are both part of Acer’s spin series and have hinges that rotate 360 degrees. This gives them four modes-tablet, display, tent and laptop. They are both hybrid: they can be used as both a laptop and a tablet.

Acer Spin 5 costs about $650 and is pretty fast. It has an Intel Core i5-6200U processor, which boasts high speed and 8GB to 16 GB RAM (varying from model to model. The computer memory is the quite huge too- 256GB SSD. The display too is very impressive, with colours looking vibrant and bright. Overall, the laptop is professional and descent in its looks. Both the keyboard and trackpad are extremely satisfactory. The battery is long lasting and the computer provides a smooth performance. It also has two USB 2.0 ports, and one USB 3.0 port. However, it is a little too heavy, has a dim screen and heats up quickly.

The other release –Acer Spin 7- according to Acer is the world’s thinnest notebooks with dimension s 12.8 x 9 x 0.4 inches. The display measures about 14-inch, with resolutions around 1080p. The processor is Intel Core i7 with speed up to 1.3 GHz, making the device very fast. This is also reinforced by 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. It only has two USB type-C ports and no Type-A port. It is a hybrid device combing a laptop with a tablet but not quite like Microsoft Surface Pro. It has high glossy IPS display which will instantly attract you with its vibrant and bright colours. It is also extremely light so you can carry it anywhere with you.

Both devices have been made available on Acer’s official website and other websites like Amazon and Best Buy. Although Acer Spin 5 is quite inexpensive, Acer spin 7 is quite expensive when compared to other hybrid devices. It is also too thin that it lacks much stability. Even though it uses the new Kaby-Lake processor it is not very fast. Compared to this the Acer Spin 5 is a much better buy. It is cheap and although at first difficulties might occur it settles down later. "
